Football - O'Driscoll likes City's attitude

Bristol City manager Sean O'Driscoll remains upbeat despite dropping to the bottom of the table following a 2-1 defeat at Crystal Palace.

Glenn Murray and Stephen Dobbie put the promotion-chasing Eagles 2-0 up but City did not throw in the towel and were rewarded for their efforts with a late own-goal from Jonathan Parr.

O'Driscoll said: "We have just played Cardiff and Palace away, two of the most difficult games you will get.

"We were brave and pressed high up the pitch. We gave it our best. I would have taken the performance, but not the score, all day long.

"Nothing fazed us, we kept going but we are bottom of the league. If you have a group if payers prepared to do that then that is gold-dust.

"The worst case scenario is getting beat twice, thumped, the spirit broken and the attitude is not right.

"We are a million miles away from that.

"We are disappointed with the result, but happy with the attitude. The enthusiasm to play the game, work hard for each other was there."
