Football - Ollie excited about Eagles

Ian Holloway believes there is still room for improvement despite Crystal Palace boosting their automatic promotion hopes with a 2-1 win over Bristol City.

Glenn Murray and Stephen Dobbie scored in either half, with Jonathan Parr's late own-goal failing to halt Palace as they kept themselves in the hunt for a top-two finish.

"Some of the combination play is now coming off," said Eagles boss Ollie. "It was a great finish for the first goal.

"We flowed after the first goal, from a great pass from Mile Jedinak. It was a classic pass and finish and as good as Charlie Adam used to hit them.

"It was quite bizarre at the end of the game with the own-goal, and if we hadn't got the second goal will be devastated.

"The fizz wasn't there, but it was good enough in another hard game. But that is six points from two games and a long way to go yet.

"But we are improving all the time and it was a good night.

"It's exciting times for us. It all bodes well and let's see what we can do. There's some big games coming up for us.

"It's another win to notch up and we move on to the next one."
