Football - Reid eyes strong finish

Winston Reid has challenged West Ham to stretch their five-match unbeaten run until the end of the season.

West Ham will guarantee their Barclays Premier League status on Saturday lunchtime if they become only the second team this season to win at Manchester City.

Although City tower over West Ham in terms of talent and spending-power, Reid is in a buoyant mood about his side's chances thanks to a recent run of good form which has seen them take points off the likes of Manchester United, Liverpool and West Brom.

"We know they have quality players," the West Ham defender said.

"They have the likes of Edin Dzeko, Sergio Aguero and Carlos Tevez, and it will my job and that of my team-mates to stop them.

"They have quality throughout the side, but we are five games unbeaten and keen to finish the season as strong as (we can).

"We have got ourselves in a good position so why wouldn't we want to keep that going and see where we can get to with the last four games?

"We are looking forward to the run-in, as we want to keep this going."
