Football - Robins bemoans wayward finishing

Mark Robins was left to rue some poor finishing as Huddersfield drew 0-0 with Ipswich.

The Terriers, who had conceded 10 goals in their first two games under the former Barnsley boss, had the better of the match but were unable to make the breakthrough.

Nevertheless Robins saw room for improvement after his side failed to break down an opponent dead set on a draw.

"I thought we controlled it in fairness. I think we tried to pass; they didn't try to pass it," he said.

"They came came for a point and got a point. We tried to get all three of them.

"There's a little bit of a lack of confidence and the surface doesn't help when you try to pass it but we tried.

"We had about seven shots on target and some good opportunities to score but we didn't take any of them.

"That's why it's only a point and not three."
