Football - Selection poser for Warnock

Leeds boss Neil Warnock faces a selection dilemma ahead of the Capital One Cup quarter-final with Chelsea.

On-loan defender Alan Tate is unavailable while fellow loanee Jerome Thomas and skipper Lee Peltier are both doubtful.

Tate is cup-tied having already taken part in the competition with Swansea and he will be replaced by Jason Pearce.

Thomas and Peltier have both struggled with knocks in recent weeks and Warnock is undecided whether to risk them or save them ahead of Saturday's crunch npower Championship tie with Middlesbrough.

Winger Ryan Hall is most likely to replace Thomas should he be rested while Luke Varney provides further competition in wide areas.

Adam Drury could fill in at left-back in place of Peltier but Warnock may look to utilise the pace of Aidan White to counter the threat of the Blues attack.

Leigh Bromby, Rodolph Austin, Davide Somma and Ramon Nunez all remain on the sidelines.
