Football - Smith disappointed with point

Walsall manager Dean Smith believes his side deserved to take all three points away from Huish Park after they played out a 0-0 draw with fellow promotion hopefuls Yeovil.

Both teams spurned a host of good opportunities as Smith's men extended their unbeaten run to 11 games.

He said: "I was a little disappointed with a point because felt we had enough opportunities to win the game.

"It was tough conditions and the pitch didn't help, but we played some decent stuff at times and opened them up.

"There are five games to go and 15 points still available. I said to players before the game that this wasn't any bigger than any other game, because you can only get three points.

"We're enjoying playing football and playing with smiles on our faces. People talked about it as being a pressure game, but pressure is when you haven't won for 15 games.

"My lads have come through that and done really well. They had a couple of shouts for a penalty but neither were for me.

"A point away from home is never bad and we've got back-to-back home games now, so let's win them and see where it takes us.

"We're fighting really hard trying to win games. We've got a lot of belief and you don't go 11 undefeated in this league if you're not a decent team. We've shown we certainly are that."
