Bishop’s Cleeve moved into the Southern League Division One South play-off places after coming from behind to beat Cinderford Town 4-2 at Kayte Lane on Tuesday night.

They sit fifth in the table after following up Saturday’s 1-0 win over Falmouth Town with victory over Matt Driscoll’s bottom-of-the-table Foresters.

Alex Bonthron had headed the Foresters in front but the sides were level at half-time as Ross Langworthy equalised.

Ethan Dunbar put the Mitres in front, before goals from recent signing Harry Burns and Ben McLean extended the lead to 4-1.

Bonthron continued his fine scoring start for Cinderford as he pulled one back with five minutes to go from the penalty spot.

On Saturday, Dunbar’s goal 12 minutes from time gave Cleeve a 1-0 victory over Falmouth.

A quiet first half saw Dunbar have a of effots alongside one from new signing Harry Burns and Matt Bower came close just before half-time, but his volley at the back post hit the side netting.

Lewis Clayton was brought into action early in the second half, before Burns came close with a looping effort that was just over the bar.

The goal came with 12 minutes to go as Isaac Pearce hit a cross low across the face of the goal, which found Dunbar in the right position to tap it home.

Cinderford crashed to a 4-1 loss at Shaftesbury, going two down to goals from Liam Farrugia and Jack Hoey before Bonthron pulled one back.

But Ben Satterley and Remus Nixon added further goals as Cinderford returned to the bottom of the table.

Evesham United are fourth in the table after two defeats in a week.

On Saturday, they crashed 4-0 at home to Willand Rovers, with Sam Bailey being sent off after 15 minutes for two yellow cards.

Owen Howe stepped up to convert a penalty, and added his second in the 52nd minute before Jacob Wellington and Philip Da Silva Mendoca put the result beyond doubt.

Then on Tuesday, they were beaten 2-0 by Malvern Town, former Cleeve boss Steve Cleal’s men making it six games unbeaten.

The sides were level at half-time, both having goals ruled out for offside, but Levi Francis broke the deadlock before the lead was doubled as Lewis Spurrier squared the ball across for Sam Clark to finish.

Brimscombe & Thrupp climbed off the bottom of the Hellenic League Premier Division with a 3-2 win over Hereford Pegasus on Tuesday.

Raiyan Ahmed scored twice, Dan Martin with the other in the Lilywhites’ win.

They had lost 3-0 to leaders Hartpury University on Saturday, the Acorns opening a five-point gap at the top.

Brimscombe held the Acorns until Owen Giles scored in the 63rd minute, then Nathan Jenkins netted in the 68th and 70th minutes to seal the win.

But on Tuesday, Roman Glass St George cut the gap to two points by winning 2-1at Thornbury Town.

Brimscombe are replaced at the bottom by Lydney Town, whose first game under new management team Lee Smith and Adam Dix ended in a 3-1 loss at Cirencester Town on Saturday.

With new signings Ryan Dobbins and Brett James in the side, they trailed to a goal from ex-Lydney man Ross Gabriel after six minutes.

The hosts increased their lead on 23 minutes through Harrison Reeves before Lydney reduced the arrears on the half hour mark. Dobbins produced a cross that skipper Jordi Sheen headed home.

Reeves sealed the win with his second goal with 15 minutes to go.

Karnell Chambers’ first half goal gave Tuffley Rovers a 1-0 win at Corsham Town, while Longlevens had a welcome 3-1 win over Malmesbury Victoria thanks to goals from Jack Beardsell, Vladyslav Yarmolenko and Ryan Williams

Callum Chalmers put Thornbury Town ahead, but they lost 2-1 to Sporting Club Inkberrow, while there were 5-0 losses for Fairford Town, at home to Pershore Town, and Slimbridge, at Highworth Town.

Shortwood United beat near neighbours Stonehouse Town 5-4 on penalties in the League’s Challenge Cup after a 1-1 draw at Meadowbank.

Wood had to play 50 minutes with 10 men after Joe Williams was sent off for his second yellow card, after Owen Whelan put them ahead.

Nick Humphreys levelled with 12 minutes left and after five penalties each the score was 4-4.

Dom Kent converted Wood’s sixth and with Joe Wright saving from Finn Rees, Wood went through.

Owen Caraftis scored twice, but Gloucester City Development lost 4-2 at Redditch Borough, while Tytherington Rocks drew 2-2 with University of Bristol.

Kyle Head and Toby Waterman scored for Rocks, but they went out 4-3 on penalties.

In the League’s Floodlit Cup on Tuesday night, Cheltenham Saracens beat Shortwood 3-2 on penalties after a 1-1 draw.

Saracens swept up field with a fast break that left Archie Alder clear to give Saracens the lead.

Wood levelled when Martin Smith’s shot took a deflection to beat Harvey Need, who saved two penalties in the shootout, and when Wood missed their fifth Sarries went through.

Tytherington Rocks lost 2-0 at Chipping Sodbury.

Steve Clark scored a hat-trick as Ruardean Hill Rangers won 4-1 at Filton Athletic and sit sixth in the County League table.

He got his first from the penalty spot, then a defensive error allowed Luke Brown to find Clark to make it 2-0.

Taylor Blaby got the third, and Clark completed his treble after Filton got a goal back through Jack Cole.

Frampton United and Broadwell Amateurs drew 1-1, with a Dom Brown header making it 1-0 but Broadwell equalised through Dave Jenkins.

Almondsbury retained top spot with a 7-1 victory over Gala Wilton, who led through Ben Sluman but Jensen Mannings, a hat-trick from Zach Morgan, Liam Nicholls (two) and Omar Alrawi completed the win.

Winless Cheltenham Civil Service lost 2-1 to Totterdown United, who led thanks to Ollie Lovell. Harvey White levelled it before Frank Tobin’s winner.

Hanham Athletic were 3-1 winners over Quedgeley Wanderers with Shah Bhakerd opening the scoring before Quedgeley equalised through Dylan Venn, but Josh Gibbs and Mikey Golding won it for Hanham, and Chalford went down 2-0 at Stoke Gifford SGS United.

Quedgeley Wanderers made it through to the semi-finals of the league’s Les James Cup on Tuesday, beating Sharpness 4-2 on penalties after a 1-1 draw.

Alex Roder scored twice as 10-man Tewkesbury Town hit back from 2-0 down to lift the Northern Senior League's Reg Davis Cup with a 3-2 win over Tredworth Tigers at Stonehouse Town FC on Wednesday night.

Town had Nick Hill red carded after 17 minutes seconds after they had gone behind to a Brett Blake goal - then there was a delay as the floodlights went out.

When they came back on, Ryley Mace added a second for Tredworth, but right on half-time Nathan Newland-Gallaway pulled one back for Town.

Midway through the second half, Roder equalised, then came up with the winner eight minutes from time.

On Saturday, Alfie Mann scored four times as Dursley Town were 9-2 winners over Tredworth in Division One of the NSL.

Ben Dolbear hit a hat-trick with Billy Mann and Karl Nash getting the others, Reuben Barney and Brett Blake netting for Tigers.

Newland-Gallaway, Roder, Tyler Hill and Scott Jordan saw leaders Tewkesbury Town to a 4-1 win over Rodborough Old Boys, Harley Griffiths replying, and second-placed Whaddon United scored through Jed Payton (two) and Jordan Mitchell as they beat Charfield 3-1, Ben Hawkins with their consolation.

Ed Rimmer’s double saw Hardwicke to a 2-1 win at Bibury, Greg Carter replying, while Kieran Dyson and Ben Turner scored as Bredon beat Longlevens Reserves 2-1, James Barnett scoring for Levens.

Goals for William Butcher and Luke Williams earned Lydney Town Reserves their first points of the season, beating Smiths Barometrics 2-1 Tommy Soule netting for Baros, while FC Lakeside beat Staunton & Corse 1-0 thanks to a Lewis Dawes goal and English Bicknor drew 0-0 with Brockworth Albion.

Barnwood United lead Division Two by six points with goals from George Botchett, Matthew Davis and Dan Smith in their 3-1 win over Viney St Swithins.

Second-placed Bream Amateurs beat Lydbrook Athletic 3-2 with goals from James Clarke (two) and Peter Scullion, Mike Donaldson and Finlay Morris replying, while Jamie Evans and Daniel Harwood saw third-placed Falcons past Woolaston 2-0.

Morgan Beachus, Daniel Carman and Harry Spearey netted as King’s Stanley beat Stonehouse Town Reserves 3-2, Harley Hudd and an own goal replying.

Liam Pinnock scored twice as Harrow Hill won 5-0 at Cheltenham Civil Service Reserves, Harry Speakman, Scott Edmonds and Matt Boseley with the others while Shamar Thomas and Dale Millar scored for Gala Wilton Reserves in their 2-0 win over Mushet & Coalway United.

Chloe Golding scored a hat-trick as leaders Gloucester City hit double figures for the second week running with an 11-1 South West Women’s League Division One North win over St Vallier.

Sachiko Kaneko-Grun and Paige Todd both scored twice with Luca Davis, Daniela Soave, Sophia Gomez and Nalani Lasmarias also on target.

Cirencester Town sit second after Star Allen’s goal was enough for a 1-0 win over Purton.

Cheltenham Town were beaten 3-0 in the FA Women’s National League Southern Premier at Lewes, and Forest Green Rovers went down by the same score at South West League Premier leaders Torquay United.

In Division One of the County League Longlevens came from 2-1 down to win 3-2 at Bristol & West, Lauren Mills, Olivia Kosylowicz and Tianna Chant on target while Cheltenham Civil Service and Dursley Town shared a 4-4 draw, Gemma Riley (two), Katie Ashmead and Jessica Brown scoring for Civil, Dursley replying through Phoebe Booth, Louise Pegler and a Lily Ryan double.

Lilli-Mae Owen scored four times for City of Gloucester in their 5-1 Division Two win over Mangotsfield United Reserves, Sophie Vincent with the other goal.

Immy Maguire and Eve Birkett scored twice, along with goals for Maisie Gaffney, Robyn Lee, Ellen Knight and Kel Birkenstock as Tuffley Rovers won 8-3 in the GFA Challenge Cup tie at Newent Town, Katie Coldridge and Faith Thomas (two) scoring for Newent.

Yasmin Francis and Megan West scored as Bishop’s Cleeve Development won 2-0 at Abbeymead Rovers in Division Three, while Cinderford Town beat Bradley Stoke 3-1.

Andoversford inflicted a first defeat on Division Four leaders Cheltenham Spa as Tayla Burnell (two) and Amy Stapleton scored in their 3-2 win, Isabelle Boucher and Grace Tull replying.

Gemma Jenkins hit a hat-trick as Lydney Town were 6-1 winners over Southmead CS Reserves, Harriet Lambe (two) and Nicole Smith with the others. Berkeley Town went down 4-1 to Downend Flyers ‘A’ while Thornbury Town crashed 9-0 to Fry Club JFC.
