Bishop’s Cleeve suffered two 1-0 Southern League Division One South defeats in the space of three days - and ended both games with 10 men.

The Mitres had Josh Nelmes sent off as they went down 1-0 at Bideford on Saturday.

The Devon side got off to a flyer as Alex Byrne put a floated cross in for Scott Robinson to head past Lewis Clayton inside two minutes.

Then, on Monday, they were beaten 1-0 at Melksham Town and had Will Turner red-carded in the final stages.

Henry Sady scored the only goal of the game after 17 minutes and Turner saw red with two minutes to go.

High-flying Evesham United and lowly Cinderford Town were both unable to follow up wins on Saturday with success on Tuesday as they both fell to defeats.

Evesham had lifted themselves up to second on Saturday with a 1-0 win over Mousehole, Alfie Dunn’s 88th-minute goal proving decisive.

But on Tuesday they went down 1-0 at Thatcham Town as a goal eight minutes from time by Josiah Dunstan proved to be the difference, the defeat pushing Evesham down to third in the table.

Recent signing Alex Bonthron had scored a hat-trick on Saturday as Cinderford climbed off the bottom of the table with a 3-1 win at Cribbs.

The Foresters had Lewis Powell sent off and fell behind eight minutes before the break as Bailey Croome put Cribbs ahead.

Bonthron struck two quick blows in the 55th and 56th minutes before completing his treble from the penalty spot.

But on Tuesday night, Didcot Town secured a 3-1 away win at The Causeway with Adam Learoyd putting them ahead on 10 minutes and Pat Osbourne doubling the lead on the half-hour mark.

Joe Keeping pulled one back for Cinderford but four minutes later Jenson Wright restored the two-goal advantage for his side, leaving the Foresters one place off the bottom.

Marcus Wormwell’s first half goal clinched Thornbury Town a place in the second round of the FA Vase as they won 1-0 at Torpoint Athletic.

The decisive moment for Richard Joyce’s side came a few minutes before half time as he drifted across the box looking for an opportunity to get his shot away, before slipping a low effort past Ryan Rickard and a stranded defender on the line to break the deadlock.

Torpoint were reduced to 10 men near the end but Thorns keeper Adam Clark made a crucial save as Luke Cloke’s header looked like it was set to earn Torpoint a last-gasp equaliser.

They will now host Okehampton Argyle, while Hartpury University, who enter the competition at this stage, are at home to East Cowes Victoria Athletic.

The Wessex League side from the Isle of Wight scored a goal in each half to progress with a 2-0 win at Fairford Town.

Lydney Town’s trip to Cornwall ended in defeat as they lost 3-2 at Bodmin Town, who took the lead after 17 minutes through Joe Munday, but Lydney were back on level terms just after the half-hour through Kian Skidmore.

Sonny Dover made it 2-1 just before half-time, and Connor Sturdy added the third seven minutes into the second half.

Lydney created a handful of chances and reduced the arrears through substitute Dan Brain after 78 minutes, but could not force a penalty shootout.

Stonehouse Town went out on penalties at Wessex League side Downton after a 1-1 draw.

The Magpies trailed to a goal on the strike of half-time but substitute Lee Keveren forced a shootout.

However Nick Humphreys and Toby Soule had their efforts saved as Downton went through 4-2.

Hartpury University took over top spot in the Hellenic League Premier Division with a 2-1 comeback win over Corsham Town.

They trailed at the break but within a minute of the re-start Nathan Jenkins and Louis Manning turned it round to leave the Acorns three points clear at the top.

Slimbridge were 3-1 winners over Malmesbury Victoria thanks to Theo Clayson, Jack Smith and Jack Watts, while Cirencester Town picked up a 1-0 win at Tuffley Rovers.

Ellis Clifford put through his own net to give Cirencester the win, which lifts them up to 16th in the table.

Shortwood United climbed to fourth in Division One as Alfie Bradshaw’s goal gave them a 1-0 win at Abingdon United.

Tytherington Rocks sit seventh, just outside the play-offs after winning by the same score at Carterton thanks to Kyle Head’s goal.

On Tuesday, Newent Town led three times but lost 4-3 to Gloucester City Development in the League’s Floodlit Cup despite goals for Zac Blood, Cory Hill and Kyle Taylor.

GFA Senior Amateur Cup holders Brockworth Albion will host Smiths Barometrics in the last 16 on November 16 after Saturday’s 5-2 win over Bishop’s Cleeve Development.

George Tasney, Ash Bird, Matt Cairns, Kyle Gibbs and Gareth Jones scored in their win, Tommy Bond and George Cuzner replying.

Baros hit six against Tuffley Rovers Development, Christian Hayward (two), Craig Holman, Dave Ramage, Tommy Soule and Luke Walsh scoring, Tuffley’s reply coming from Omarion Harrison.

A hat-trick for Henry Driver-Dickerson helped Frampton United to a 4-3 win over Bourton Rovers Development. Tom Mangan scored the other goal, which sets up a home tie with Tredworth Tigers. Bourton’s goals came from Connor Hitchman, Daniel Smith and Callum Trott.

Tigers were 9-0 winners over Cheltenham Saracens Development, Brett Blake with a hat-trick, while Craig Pierce scored twice, Brett James, Mike Oliver, Dan Lander and an own goal with the other goals.

Steve Clark and Fin Jones both scored twice as Ruardean Hill Rangers beat Cheltenham Civil Service Reserves 5-0, Taylor Blaby with the other goal, as the Forest side now face a trip to Whaddon United, who were 4-0 winners over Dursley Town thanks to Kurtis Burrows, Zack Hodges, Jordan Mitchell and Ryan Vincent.

Bibury were 7-1 winners over Painswick, Jay Griffiths and Alfie Cook both scoring twice with goals for Jake Griffin, Declan Keen and Harry Johnson, Benji Cronin replying, and they now host Broadwell Amateurs, Dave Jenkins’ goal seeing off Rodborough Old Boys 1-0.

Cheltenham Civil Service now meet Chalford, Service beating Barnwood United 3-1 thanks to Alin Neamtu, Mikolaj Rewczuk and Manpreet Singh, Josh Abbott-Tarrant replying, while Chalford came through 6-5 on penalties against Gloucester City Development after a 1-1 draw, George Parker equalising after Owen Caraftis put City ahead.

Quedgeley Wanderers host FC Lakeside after beating Woolaston 4-2, Woody Vinton (two), Jordan Rouse and an own goal scoring, while Elliot Greening and Gareth Rose replied.

Ollie Horne, a Lewis Dawes penalty and Charlie Crawford earned Lakeside a 3-3 draw at Lydney Town Reserves, but they won 5-3 on penalties, Luke Williams hitting a hat-trick for Lydney.

Sharpness beat King’s Stanley 5-1, James Tainton (two), Will Tainton, Kieran Bennett and Archie Mears scoring, Conor Carey replied. They now travel to Lydbrook Athletic, 3-0 winners at Staunton & Corse.

Two goals for James Barnett and one each for Alex Knight, Fin Rankin and Jamol Dare earned Longlevens Reserves a home game with Gloucester City Reserves, who won 6-3 at Tewkesbury Town.

Caleb Thomas (two), Shane Pierson, Jaxson Hundt, Adam Milne and an own goal earning the win, Jamie Goodwin with a hat-trick in reply for Town.

Cheltenham Town face a trip to Stockport County in the quarter-finals of the FA Women’s National League Plate on December 1 after Sunday’s 2-1 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Cheltenham received a bye in the preliminary round before defeating Boldmere St. Michaels 4-1, then on Sunday goals from Maisy Collis and Emily Owen took the club into the last eight for the third time.

Gloucester City climb to the top of the South West Women’s League Division One North table after their 10-0 win over Corsham Town.

Sachi Kaneko-Grun hit a hat-trick, with the others shared around as Lucabella Davis, Laina Warren, Nalani Lasmarias, Kassidy Grey, Taite Scheafer, Sophia Gomez and Paige Todd got on the scoresheet.

The emphatic win sees City climb to the top of the table by a point, with games in hand over teams below them.

Cirencester Town drew 2-2 with Royal Wootton Bassett Town to sit second, a point behind City but having played three more games, Clare Hill and Libby Messenger their scorers.

The opening round of the GFA Women’s Challenge Cup, Gloucester City Reserves were 4-1 winners over Ellwood.

Hollie Handisides, Zoe Gabb and Kate Ambrey on target with an own goal completing their tally, while Hayley McGeough replied for Ellwood.

Leila Hancox and Ella Sharpe scored for Bishop’s Cleeve Development as they won 2-0 at Andoversford, while Cinderford Town beat Cheltenham Spa 2-1, Amy Essery netting for Spa.

Kacie Anderson scored twice as Mitcheldean SC won 4-2 at Winchcombe Town, Violet Williams and Jennifer Jordan with the others.

Abbeymead Rovers were 2-0 winners over Lydney Town thanks to a goal in each half from Beth Marsh (12 mins) and Alexis Lunn-Gadd (52).

Berkeley Town were beaten 4-0 by Downend Flyers A, while Thornbury Town lost 7-0 to Southmead CS Reserves.

Forest Green Rovers Development were handed a walkover by Kingswood, while the Newent Town v Tuffley Rovers tie was washed out.
