Championship - Spector makes Bimingham return

Bimingham midfielder Jonathan Spector got an hour under his belt upon his return from injury for the club's Under-21 Development side on Monday afternoon.

The American has been sidelined since early October having picked up a thigh injury, with his last taste of first-team action coming in the 2-1 home defeat to Bolton in the Championship.

But Spector returned to the fold as he started City's comfortable 4-0 win over Barnsley at the club's Wast Hills training ground before making way after 60 minutes.

Mitch Hancox, Andy Shinnie, Shane Ferguson and Liam Truslove were all on target for Blues.

Spector will now have one eye on a return to contention this month for Lee Clark's first team as Birmingham look to put further distance between themselves and the bottom three.
