Lewis Toshney has only recently returned from an injury

Stark has agreed that Toshney should play for Celtic Under-20s against Dunfermline on Tuesday instead of joining the international squad as back-up as he is working his way back from a recent injury.

However, Stark has opted against calling up a direct replacement for the defender and has instead turned to uncapped Reading goalkeeper Jonathan Henly and Everton winger Matthew Kennedy.

The Dark Blues face Slovakia next Thursday at St Mirren Park in Paisley before travelling to Tbilisi to take on Georgia four days later as they seek to qualify for the 2015 finals in the Czech Republic.

Stark's side opened up their campaign with a 3-0 win over Luxembourg in March but shipped four goals in a defeat to Holland in Nijmegen last month.
