After four defeats in their previous five npower League Two fixtures, the Daggers secured a priceless three points thanks to Medy Elito's winning goal in the third minute of stoppage-time.
The hosts had to come from behind though, with Andrew Tutte opening the scoring in the 72nd minute before Abu Ogogo levelled three minutes later.
Still, whose side have now not drawn since October, said: "It's a great result for us and one which will give everyone around the place a lift.
"We've been through a little bit of a sticky patch, but while having said that, I've never felt the need to question the effort of the players. It's there for all to see that the work is going in through the week.
"I thought we were the better side overall and we've come away with the rewards. We managed to get round the back of their defence on a number of occasions and we've been a real threat.
"This result can definitely been seen as another platform for us to build on.
"This is always a tough period of the season and we'll undoubtedly need a few more performances like this between now and the end of it.
"I was delighted for Medy too. He works so hard in training and he's picked up a great reward."
