Manchester United target Arturo Vidal says he would love to play for what he describes as "one of the biggest clubs in the world".

However, he will not be signing for them immediately; he has said he will sort out his future when he arrives back at Juventus after his holidays.

Speaking to Chilean newspaper La Tercera, Vidal said: "I've heard about the rumours, but I haven't spoken more about this subject.

"I'm enjoying my holidays, and when I return to Italy I'll see what happens.

"I'm very calm, but anyone would love to play for one of the biggest clubs in the world."


You could construe these quotes as merely the standard response from any star footballer to reports of interest in his services. However, they are being hyped up in certain sections of the Chilean press and they appear to be significant. Vidal, of course, would be a wonderful signing for Manchester United and having won three successive Serie A titles with Juve the time seems right for a move.

Manchester United have also been linked with his team-mate in Turin, Paul Pogba, but Vidal would be significantly cheaper than the young France star and would inject some much-needed quality into an area of the team that has been neglected for too long.
