After the news that Marc Bartra was taken to hospital for treatment on injuries suffered after three explosions hit Borussia Dortmund's team bus, football reacted...well, the way football always does.
A massive show of support from both fans and other clubs rung around social media in the aftermath of the incident, wishing Bartra and the rest of the Dortmund squad well.
When news of the incident began to filter into the stadium, Monaco's fans began to chant 'DORTMUND, DORTMUND' as a mark of respect and solidarity.
Dortmund fans have also offered up accommodation for travelling away fans who had not planned to be in Germany for an extra night for the rescheduled game on Wednesday, using the hashtag #bedforawayfans.
Other clubs, including Barcelona and Benfica also tweeted their support for the club - with Bartra a former player of the former.
