AFC Bolton have set up a new girls’ team and are on the lookout for new players.

For girls in year six and seven, the under-12s team will play on Saturdays in a boy’s under 11s league.

Training starts on Tuesday, May 24 at Ladybridge High School.

All the coaches of the teams at AFC Bolton are DBS checked and have qualifications from the Football Association in first aid, coaching and safeguarding.

A spokesperson for the club said: “Exciting news, AFC Bolton have a new girl’s team and are looking for new players for their Saturday u12s girls yellow team.

“We will be playing in a u-11 boys league.

“Already play for a Sunday team and want to play more football or new to football? We have places available for all.

“Girls need to be in school years 6 or 7 in September.
