John Pemberton has re-joined the Nottingham Forest coaching staff as performance development coach.
Pemberton, who was part of the set-up at the City Ground for more than 12 years before leaving in 2009, will be responsible for helping bridge the gap between academy football and the first team for the club's up-and-coming young stars.
He held various roles during his first stint at Forest, working with the academy, as reserve-team boss and also a brief stint as caretaker manager in the 2008/2009 season - famously leading the Reds to a 3-0 third-round FA Cup win at Manchester City.
The 47-year-old has most recently been the academy director at Sheffield United, where he guided the young Blades to the 2011 FA Youth Cup final where they were beaten by Manchester United.
