Simon Cox sustained an ankle injury against Wolves

Nottingham Forest are waiting to discover the extent of the ankle injury Simon Cox suffered against Wolves.

Cox was carried off on a stretcher after 65 minutes of the Reds' 2-1 win at Molineux on Saturday following a challenge by home defender Kevin Foley.

An initial X-ray has revealed no major bone fractures but the Republic of Ireland international striker will have a MRI scan on Monday to determine whether there is any ligament damage.

Robbie Findley has returned to the club following his loan spell at Gillingham but manager Sean O'Driscoll may consider recalling either David McGoldrick or Matt Derbyshire from their loans at Coventry or Oldham respectively as cover in attack.

Forest are unable to recall Marcus Tudgay as he has not been on loan at Barnsley for 28 days, and they are unlikely to consider bringing back high-earner Ishmael Miller from his loan at Middlesbrough.
