Forgotten Tottenham star sends Ange Postecoglou surprise dig after Man Utd chance
Tottenham Hotspur defender Sergio Reguilon has sent a bizarre message to Ange Postecoglou after being given a brief cameo against Manchester United in the Carabao Cup.
Reguilon, who spent the first half of last season at Old Trafford before moving to Brentford on loan in January, had not previously featured for Spurs this season. In three of the last four Premier League matches, the 28-year-old was an unused substitute but was back out of the squad for the thrashing of Southampton last weekend.
Postecoglou brought Reguilon on for a brief cameo at the end of a thrilling quarter-final tie with United which the hosts won 4-3 despite comfortably leading at one stage 3-0. Taking to Instagram, the Spaniard appeared to voice his unhappiness at his lack of matches with what could be construed as a sarcastic post aimed at Postecoglou.

Sharing pictures of himself in action for the first time this season, the full-back captioned them: "Look mum, I played a football game yesterday." Teammate Pedro Porro quickly responded to the post, replying: "Great to see you back, it is this way friend," followed by several laughing emojis.
Postecoglou confirmed prior to the clash with United that Reguilon missed being a part of the squad at Southampton due to a tooth extraction leaving him bedridden. Earlier this year, Marca reported that Reguilon had been ostracised from the Tottenham squad and the situation was described as 'dramatic'.
However, the Australian's stance now appears to have mellowed and Reguilon is now back in and around the first-team. It is still expected that the defender will seek an exit in January.
