Former Hull FC loose-forward Joe Cator has signed a new one-year contract at Toulouse Olympique. The 25-year-old linked up with the French outfit at the end of July after leaving the Black and Whites and has seen his future into 2025 secured after a successful short-term deal.

Cator made his debut for Toulouse earlier this year and played two games for the club. Unfortunately, his season was ended due to a shoulder injury, but he is now ready to fight for his place once again.

Toulouse finished in second place in the Championship this year and were beaten by Wakefield Trinity in the Grand Final. And in terms of IMG, they are not far off a Super League place either, scoring over 13 points at Wednesday's reveal.

"I can’t wait to get back to training and start the season," Cator said on his deal via the club's website. "We’ll see what the future holds."

Head coach Sylvain Houles added: "Joe had caught our eye for a few years with Leigh. He works hard in training, and in matches he gives 100%, whether in attack or defence, with a very good volume of play. I am sure he will continue to progress with the team."

Cator first broke through the rugby league scene at Hull KR back in 2016. He then played for Leigh Centurions before signing for Hull ahead of the 2020 season. He played four and a half seasons with his boyhood club, making the move to France a couple of months ago.
