Not on TV. This isn’t a Noel Edmonds-sized recovery from the wilderness. No, the wacky Get Your Own Back great is now a wrestler!

He bounded into the ring in Brighton this weekend, taking part in so-called Cinematic independent wrestling and his tag-team were successful on their big debut.
Benson-Phillips and his partner-in-crime defeated villainous duo Anti Fun Police at Riptide in a fantastic battle.
He soon uploaded videos to his twitter and showed the world that despite turning 53, the gunge-king has still got plenty of energy.
He told the Mirror: “I was approached by a very lovely guy who I spoke to about a year before from KAPOW Wrestling, asked me if I could go in the ring for a few minutes.
Thanks and big love to @RIPTIDEwres for giving me an opportunity to go back in the ring, to @mothfromdaflats for being a great tag team partner, the Anti-Fun Police for being the opposition, and for the lovely people who came to see us.

“I used to wrestle back in the day and so I got in the ring and chucked somebody about for a while. So you can only imagine my surprise when there was a phone call to my agent from Riptide Wrestling, asking if I was up for a bout against the Anti Fun Police.
“I have really been quite amazed by the speed of social media and the reception I’ve received.”
