Ex- Leicester City boss Claudio Ranieri has revealed that he is ready to return to action as a manager once the right opportunity comes along.

The footballing world was shocked when the Premier League champions decided to sack the Italian manager, just months after securing the first league title of their history.

Incredibly, the ruthless decision has seemed to pay off for the Foxes as not only did they progress to the Champions League quarter-finals, they have steered well clear of the relegation zone following Ranieri’s sacking.

Speaking to BT Sport (via the Sun), the Italian veteran coach believes that his managerial career is not over yet and he revealed that he wouldn’t mind a return back to the Premier League.

He stated: “I’m ready (to go back into management).

“[England?] Why not? I am a European manager, no? Where there is a good project, I am ready.”

Ranieri’s return to English football would be a great sight for all involved as many fans and pundits alike were quick to support the Italian in the aftermath of his sacking.

The Italian has certainly been an amazing character in the Premier League as he has managed both Chelsea and Leicester City in his time in England.

Should Ranieri manage to get a job in the Premier League next season, he’ll be welcomed with open arms and he might feel that he still has something to prove.
