Brandon Harris has left LSU, and now he is leaving the SEC for good.
The former Tigers quarterback announced on Facebook Sunday he has decided to transfer to North Carolina for his final season of NCAA eligibility.
“Obviously, it has been an important time for me, looking for a great situation and another opportunity to grow as a young man and as a student as well as a football player. The opportunity to accomplish that is very important to me. After my officialvisit this weekend to the University of North Carolina, I’m going to get that opportunity,” Harris wrote.
Harris, who is on track to graduate this summer and be eligible to play immediately as a graduate transfer, has been making the rounds for the last six weeks to find a new school. Texas was also recruiting Harris hard.
Harris lost his starting position last season to Danny Etling after rough start to the season with LSU's loss to Wisconsin.
He only threw for 139 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions.
