Former NRL hooker linked with London Broncos ownership bid
A former NRL and State of Origin hooker could be involved in a potential bid to purchase London Broncos, having been tipped off by one of the club's former head coaches, Tony Rea.
The Broncos are looking for fresh investment and ownership after current chairman David Hughes announced his intentions to sell the club. The capital outfit are also looking for financial help to get them through the off-season and into next year.
And that help may come from Australia, with the Daily Telegragh reporting that Robbie Farah, a former hooker with Wests Tigers, is looking into English rugby league as a potential investment opportunity alongside his business partner, Jai Ayoub.

Meanwhile, Hughes confirmed he will step down from his position after 20 years at the club, where he has injected millions of pounds into both the Broncos and rugby league in and around London.
Any bid would be some coup for the Broncos, who have confirmed several players for their 2025 squad in recent weeks. Back in the Championship, they will be coached again by Mike Eccles, who was nominated for the Super League coach of the year award in 2024.
Eccles believes the club can get back to the topflight with an improved IMG score over the next two years. However, above all else is getting capital into the club, with a crowdfunder launched to help keep the club's operations going. Farah, meanwhile, who runs a business called Two4Seven, is now reportedly looking at purchasing a stake in the club while keeping their options open at other investment opportunities throughout Super League.
