Dele Alli has been one of the most impressive players in the Premier League this season, and former Liverpool defender Steve Nicol says that he can see the young England international leaving Spurs for a bigger club.
Alli burst onto the scene last season, quickly becoming one of England's most promising talents, and has continued that form throughout this year's campaign, making him one of Europe's most sought after players.
Now a pundit for ESPN, Nicol claimed:
“They are a team that are not ready to win the Premier League title. If [Alli] is going to be that superstar he may have to do what Gareth Bale did, go eventually. I see that happening [Alli leaving].

Tottenham have produced a stellar season, with Mauricio Pochettino's team currently second in the league. Alli's performances have definitely boosted Spurs, with 16 goals to his name this campaign.
However, Nicol doesn't seem to think that Alli's current club have what it takes to continue to improve much more.
“I don’t see Spurs getting to the next level, I don’t see them spending the money to get to the next level and that means players like Dele Alli, they will go eventually.”
The 21-year-old narrowly missed out on the shortlist for PFA Player of the Year award, but is nominated for Young Player of the Year.
With rumoured interest in the playmaker from various clubs, including Gareth Bale's Real Madrid, it could turn out to be an interesting summer for the wonder kid.
