Fernando Alonso’s miserable season in terms of reliability came to an unsurprising end with yet another DNF, this time caused by a suspected water leak.

His Alpine team-mate Esteban Ocon held onto P7 meaning that despite both McLarens finishing inside the top 10, Alpine held on to their P4 spot in the Constructors’ Championship.

Lewis Hamilton’s season also ended in disappointment as a hydraulic issue saw him sink from P4 to out of the race in lap 56 of 58.

Sebastian Vettel ended his Formula 1 career inside the points with a P10 finish.
