Vandoorne (Josef Kaufman Racing) leads Kvyat (Koiranen Motorsport) in the battle for the 500,000 euro prize money that will help the victor move into the 3.5 Series.
The two men have won 11 of the season's 12 races and if Kvyat can win both races in Barcelona then he will take the title irrespective of how Vandoorne performs.
Vandoorne has not won as many races as his rival yet he has finished on the podium 10 times in 12 races.
Norman Nato (RC Formula) is currently in third place in the standings and can be overtaken by Nyck de Vries (R-ace GP) and Oliver Rowland (Fortec Motorsports).
In the team championship, Josef Kaufman Racing and Koiranen Motorsport are contesting first place.
