Liverpool could be in the market for a forward this summer. Of course, Liverpool has an abundance of attacking players at the club, but there's no guarantee that all of Mohamed Salah, Luis Díaz, Cody Gakpo, Diogo Jota, Darwin Núñez and Harvey Elliott will remain at the club by the end of the transfer window and longer-term plans will need to be in place.

Díaz has long been linked with a move to Barcelona, while the Saudi Pro League still harbors hope of signing Salah and making him the latest star to move to the Middle Kingdom. Therefore, it makes sense to see Liverpool linked with several forwards at the moment.

Here we take a look at the players being connected with a Liverpool move. But one of them won't be Yankuba Minteh of Newcastle, with a move for the player 'ruled out', according to the ECHO.

Johan Bakayoko (PSV Eindhoven): The Belgian winger is one of those being linked to a move to Liverpool following a brilliant season with the Dutch side (via Eindhovens Dagblad and others). Bakayoko scored 12 times and produced nine assists for PSV as it won the Eredivisie title. His form has made some of the biggest sides in Europe take notice, with Liverpool supposedly monitoring the player for well over a year.

Crysencio Summerville (Leeds): Summerville is another one who is coming off the back of a very good season. Leeds' failure to win promotion to the Premier League means the Yorkshire will have to sell in order to bring the wage bill down, and Liverpool could exploit the situation (according to 90Min and others). Summerville scored 19 times and contributed nine assists to Leeds promotion push, and can play on either wing, something which could prove very useful to new Liverpool boss Arne Slot.

Dario Osorio (FC Midtjylland): Osorio is Chile international who has a bright future ahead of him. Aged just 20, the winger had been linked with a move to Wolves last summer but opted to sign for Danish team FC Midtjylland. In his first season in Europe, Osorio scored eight goals in 23 top games, and such has been his impact that he's been selected to the Chile squad for the upcoming Copa America. Osorio is likely further down the list of potential transfers than others, but he's one to keep an eye out for over the course of the next few years and is on Liverpool's radar, according to La Tercera.

Mohamed Kudus (West Ham): Kudus made an impact in his first season in English football. Signed from Ajax last summer, Kudus scored 17 goals in 47 games this season in all competitions and Liverpool has been linked with making a move for the player (via Football Transfers and others). He has a release clause, but it isn't valid until the summer of 2025, meaning Liverpool would have to negotiate with the Hammers over a potential price.
