Four more play-off winners re-sign for North Leigh

NORTH Leigh have secured the services of a key quartet for another season.

Andy Gunn, Aaron McCreadie, Adam North and Lance Williams have all re-signed for the Millers ahead of the 2022/23 campaign.

It means 19 members of last season’s squad have returned for North Leigh’s first season in Pitching In Southern League Premier South. Matt Nutt was unveiled as the club’s first new arrival on Sunday.

Experienced defender Gunn was a trainee at Oxford United and went on to play for Oxford City and Banbury United.

He struck an extra-time winner in the Millers’ Division 1 Central play-off semi-final against Berkhamsted in April.

McCreadie, another former U’s youngster, then scored a brilliant goal in the 4-2 win over Ware in the final.

Goalkeeper North returns after helping the Millers to the fourth-best defensive record in Division 1 Central last season.

Meanwhile, forward Williams has been with North Leigh for several campaigns since returning to Eynsham Park from Didcot Town.
