Spain's Dani Sordo

The Spaniard was under pressure to deliver his maiden WRC win in Trier, knowing that without it, he could have been replaced in Strasbourg.

While he will not be driving for the factory team, as Sebastien Loeb returns to partner Mikko Hirvonen, he will drive the Abu Dhabi car.

Citroen's driver-choice conundrum

Sordo's seat will be taken by Kris Meeke on next week's Rally Australia.

Robert Kubica could add to the pressure on Sordo, Citroen team principal Yves Matton having already hinted that the Pole could step up from his WRC 2 Citroen to the DS3 World Rally Car before the end of the season.

The only remaining question mark on the manufacturer entries for France is the identity of Andreas Mikkelsen's co-driver.

His regular navigator Mikko Markkula is still recovering from broken vertebrae sustained during Rally Finland.

If the Finn is not fit his seat will be taken by Irishman Paul Nagle, who accompanies Mikkelsen in Australia.
