Free activities to keep the kids entertained during the holiday
Children from across the county have been getting crafty during the school holidays in The Mall Blackburn.
The Mall has put on an array of garden’ themed activities to keep children entertained and doesn’t cost families a penny.
Gnome plant pots with flowers and bird gliders have already been on the agenda with the free fun set to last until Friday (June 2).
The outdoors is being brought in and the unit between Poundbakery and Muffin Break has been decorated with blooms, balloons and bunting.
Remaining line up of blooming marvellous activities:
Wednesday, May 31 - Garden bug wands
Thursday, June 1 - Garden scene window sun-catchers
Friday, June 2 - Windmills
Loraine Jones, general manager at The Mall Blackburn, said: “It has been wonderful to see so many little ones enjoying our free activities here in The Mall.
“It is difficult and expensive to keep little ones entertained in the school holidays, so our free ‘in the garden’ themed arts and crafts give parents an alternative to spending lots of money on day trips.
“There is plenty more fun to be had before half-term is over!”
Activities are taking place every day from 11am until 4pm in the unit between Poundbakery and Muffin Break.
The event is free of charge and further information can be found at: https://themallblackburn.co.uk/news-events/
