Kingsbury claimed eight wins, including six from the first six, on the way to both the moguls and overall freestyle skiing World Cup titles last season and he began the new term in similar fashion.

The 20-year-old beat Canadian teammate and Olympic champion Alexandre Bilodeau in the dual moguls big final in Finland to take a World Cup lead that he won't be giving up without a fight.

In the small final in Ruka, America's Jeremy Cota got the better of another Canadian, Marc-Antoine Gagnon,  while in the women's dual moguls event Heather McPhie was toasting victory.

McPhie beat Canadian Justine Dufour-Lapointe in the big final for her first win almost three years; the American last topping the podium on home soil in Deer Valley in January 2010.

And, for all their dominance so far, there were no North American's in the women's small final as Japan's Aiko Uemura got the better of Nikola Sudova of the Czech Republic.
