The third round gets underway at Roland Garros on Friday, and that means the biggest names are back in action. The ATP singles has gone largely according to form and ranking so far, but the WTA continues to be an absolutely glorious free-for-all. Here is what is in store on day six at Roland Garros, with the order of play stacked with great match-ups.

What to watch out for

The big names of the ATP are back again on day six and that means Novak Djokovic, Carlos Alcaraz and Rafael Nadal. Djokovic faces Slovenian Aljaz Bedene in what should be another routine win. Plenty of eyes will be on Nadal too, particularly to see if his problematic foot continues to hold up when he plays Botic van de Zandschlup. It's not all just about the big names, though. Grigor Dimitrov vs Diego Schwartzman could be a lot of fun, while Cameron Norrie resumes his campaign against Karen Khachanov. In the WTA draw, Amanda Anisimova vs Karolina Muchova has a lot of promise, and it will be interesting to see if Coco Gauff can continue her fine form when she takes on Kaia Kanepi.

Popcorn match: Sebastian Korda vs Carlos Alcaraz

In all honesty, there is every chance that Carlos Alcaraz has already had the match of the tournament. His second-round battle against Alberto Ramos-Vinolas was as good as five set tennis gets and the fact Alcaraz was able to battle himself through it really underlines his obvious star quality. In theory, playing in the bigger stadium under the lights in the night session should bring the absolute best out of him. In fact, such special things are expected that he has managed to bump Rafael Nadal onto Court Suzanne-Lenglen. He may not get it all his own way against Sebastian Korda, though. The young American has a big pedigree. His father, Petr, was an Australian Open champion and he was mentored by Andre Agassi in his youth. Korda is also the only player to have beaten Alcaraz on clay so far this year, so it could be a fun contest. You can find the full French Open day four order of play below, with play starting at 10:00 BST.
