The 2023/24 Premier League season may have only just come to an end but Tottenham have already strengthened their squad ahead of next campaign. Tuesday evening saw clarity arrive regarding Timo Werner's future after initially joining Spurs on loan back in January.

Amid question marks over whether the Lilywhites would sign the attacker on a permanent basis due to a clause in their agreement with RB Leipzig, the two clubs have now agreed on a fresh season-long loan for the 28-year-old. Spurs once again hold an option to buy the player on a permanent basis, with the fee set at £8.5million.

Tottenham fans will be hoping that there are a number of new arrivals to follow Werner through the door as Ange Postecoglou prepares for the upcoming campaign. The Australian has already made it clear that he would like to strengthen in attack, with the team certainly needing a new striker and an additional winger.

Nottingham Forest's Callum Hudson-Odoi has been linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium over the past week after an excellent campaign at the City Ground. However, football.london understands that despite previous links to Tottenham, Spurs are not one of the interested parties this time around.

So who exactly would be a good option for the Lilywhites when it comes to strengthening on the wings ahead of the 2024/25 season? football.london takes a look below.

Michael Olise (Crystal Palace)

Michael Olise will be in the headlines this summer regarding a move away from Crystal Palace after excelling at Selhurst Park. Finishing 2023/24 with 10 goals and six assists from his 19 Premier League appearances, the 22-year-old was in sumptuous form in the final weeks of the season as he played a major part in wins over West Ham, Manchester United, Wolves and Aston Villa.

Palace will do well to keep hold of Olise over the coming years as he looks destined to move on at some point in the not too distant future. He would be a statement signing for Tottenham and someone who would help take their attack to the next level.

Pedro Neto (Wolves)

Pedro Neto is another who will be linked with a big-money transfer this summer. The Portuguese ace has endured an injury-hit couple of seasons at Molineux but that isn't going to stop interested clubs making their move.

Neto chipped in with one goal and seven assists in his first 10 Premier League last season prior to injury, before finishing the 2023/24 season with three goals and 11 assists from his 24 games in total. Boasting blistering price and some real quality in the final third, the Portuguese ace would fit perfectly into Postecoglou's Tottenham XI.

Raphinha (Barcelona)

Since making the move to Barcelona from Leeds in July 2022, Raphinha has been linked with a Premier League return. Tottenham have been mentioned in regards to a move for the Brazilian a number of times in the past and it is not clear yet as to what will happen in terms of the 27-year-old's Barcelona career this summer.

Raphinha did finish the season with 10 goals and 13 assists from his 37 appearances, with the player operating on both the right and left flank. That versatility would really play into Postecoglou's hands at Tottenham, as would the attacker's ability to contribute with goals and assists on a regular basis.

Xavi Simons (PSG)

Xavi Simons was a real hit at RB Leipzig last season after joining the German side on loan from PSG. 10 goals and 15 assists from 43 appearances was some going for the youngster, with the Dutchman going on to make his mark in the Champions League.

Another loan move could be set to come to fruition this summer, thus giving clubs the opportunity to sign such a talented player on a temporary basis from PSG. Capable of playing from both sides of the pitch, the Netherlands international will be an excellent addition for whoever he joins ahead of 2024/25.

Jarrod Bowen (West Ham)

What about Jarrod Bowen? After all, the England international has proved to be a major hit for West Ham since joining the Hammers amid previous links to Tottenham in the past.

The 2023/24 season was another outstanding one for the 27-year-old, hitting 30 goal contributions (20 goals, 10 assists) in the process. Someone who knows where the back of the net is, Bowen would be a fine option on the right flank and there is also the added bonus of him having plenty of experience as a central striker.

Nico Williams (Athletic Bilbao)

Nico Williams is going to be a man in demand this summer after starring for Athletic Bilbao. Playing from the left side for Ernesto Valverde's men, the youngster finished the season with eight goals and an incredible 17 assists.

At 21 years of age, Williams, who has been linked with Arsenal recently, is only going to get even better and it's no surprise to see the Spain international mentioned in regards to a move to Europe's biggest clubs. Williams' contract, which he signed in December 2023, is believed to contain a release clause worth around £43million. That could be quite the deal for a player of his undoubted quality - though he is reported to be on a high wage after signing that new deal.

Crysencio Summerville (Leeds United)

Leeds' failure to return to the Premier League at the first time of asking will likely mean that Crysencio Summerville is on the move this summer. The Dutchman played an integral role in his side's promotion push, scoring 21 goals in 49 appearances and laying on ten assists in the process.

Premier League clubs should be queuing up to sign the 22-year-old ahead of the new season, with Liverpool and Chelsea just two of the clubs to be linked with the Rotterdam-born ace. Operating on the left flank but naturally right footed, many will have noted time and time again the player's ability to cut inside and find the far corner of the net.

Dani Olmo (RB Leipzig)

If Postecoglou wants a player who can play on both wings and also as an attacking midfielder, Dani Olmo could be his man. The Spain international was mainly utilised on the right by RB Leipzig in the 2023/24 season but he did also feature on the left and through the middle on occasions.

Since making the move to the Bundesliga side, Olmo has had a big impact in the final third and contributed with 29 goals and 34 assists in 148 appearances. Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Man City, Liverpool and Manchester United have been linked with the Spain star, who is said to have a release clause of £51million that can only be activated before July 15.
