The fight will headline the card at Nottingham's Capital FM Arena, where Froch won the title with a superb fifth-round stoppage of Lucian Bute, and precedes a mandatory rematch with 'Le Tombeur' set tentatively for early 2013 in Bute's native Montreal, should 'The Cobra' retain.

"The Bute win was one of the greatest nights of my life and I plan on doing something special against Mack," Froch said at Matchroom Sport's press conference and public workout in Brentwood. "He's got nothing to lose."

Froch-Mack will take place weeks after Bute takes on Russia's Denis Grachev in Montreal, meaning both super-middleweight boxers will take on light-heavyweight opposition in the build-up to their rematch.

Mack, from Philadelphia, has a record of 31-4-2 with 17 career knockouts. The 32-year-old's notable bouts include victories over Daniel Judah (brother of Zab) and Otis Griffin, with defeats coming in well-received contests with Librado Andrade, Glen Johnson and the undefeated Tavoris Cloud.
