Fulham to host West Ham in friendly as part of preparation for World Cup return


West Ham and Fulham will face off in a mid-season friendly ahead of the Premier League’s return from the World Cup.

Craven Cottage is set to open its doors on Saturday December 17 for a 1pm kick-off.

Clubs’ have been forced to map out a new routine of preparations for domestic football’s return after Christmas, with the Hammers taking on Cambridge on December 6 in their bid to keep stars fresh.

West Ham return to action on Boxing Day away to Arsenal and have already had Lucas Paqueta’s trip to Qatar as part of Brazil’s squad confirmed.

Fulham, meanwhile, head to Crystal Palace and are set to have Aleksandar Mitrovic and Harry Wilson among the players at the World Cup.

Earlier in the campaign, West Ham beat the Cottagers 3-1 at London Stadium in the Premier League.
