Manchester United came from behind to beat Fulham 2-1 in the Premier League on Wednesday night.

United were sloppy early on and Fulham made the most of it, Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa sending a tremendous through-pass for Ademola Lookman, who kept his composure to give his team the lead.

Bruno Fernandes hit the post from range with his first real involvement in the game, before Edinson Cavani pounced a few yards out to equalise after Alphonse Areola couldn’t hold a cross.

Fulham created openings on the counter but Paul Pogba smashed in an unstoppable second, with Cavani going close afterwards with a header and Ruben Loftus-Cheek shooting straight at David de Gea when played through.

Here are the player ratings from the game at Craven Cottage.

Fulham

Alphonse Areola - 5. Should have done far better with the initial cross before Cavani’s equaliser.

Ola Aina - 7. Defended well against the United left flank.

Joachim Andersen - 8. Cleared everything into the middle of the box on the ground and in the air.

Tosin - 6. Solid enough performance but didn’t get out to close down Pogba for his goal.

Kenny Tete - 7. Hard-working and a good outlet at times.

Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa - 6. Not his most dominant performance of recent weeks.

Harrison Reed - 7. Industrious but also showed plenty of moments of quality in possession.

Joe Bryan - 4. Couldn’t contain his man and not great use of the ball going forward.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek - 7. Very quiet in the first half, much better after the break. Led the counter and created several openings.

Ivan Cavaleiro - 5. Chased balls into the channel all night but when he finally saw a pass go his way, a moment of miscontrol let him down with the goal beckoning.

Ademola Lookman - 7. Great running in behind the defence and a fine early strike. Happy to take on the whole defence when he had to.

Man United

David de Gea - 6. Not much he could do about the goal and was otherwise mostly untroubled.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka - 5. Continues to let the team down defensively at big moments, an issue he has struggled with all season in positional terms. Put a couple of good crosses in at the other end.

Eric Bailly - 6. Did well aerially but the whole defence struggled with Fulham’s pace in the attack.

Harry Maguire - 6. Should have scored with a close-range header and was bypassed by the dribbling forwards.

Luke Shaw - 7. Good delivery from wide and some fine defensive work at times, though was beaten one-on-one on occasions.

Fred - 7. Another mixed performer, unable to track the forward runs at times but useful with his ball-winning and distribution for the most part.

Paul Pogba - 7. Had a few moments on the edge after his yellow card, but scored an absolute worldie and showed moments of great creativity too.

Mason Greenwood - 5. On the periphery of the game for the most part.

Bruno Fernandes - 6. A couple of great strikes from range but aside from taking the ball on the turn and hammering it goalwards, wasn’t involved a whole lot in United’s best moves.

Anthony Martial - 7. Not everything he tried came off, but his work rate was improved and he fashioned a few openings down the left.

Edinson Cavani - 9. Hard-working, hunted himself a goal, closed down the defence, tracked back with regularity and showed he’s far from a spent force.
