Newcastle United return to action on Saturday afternoon when they take on Fulham in the Premier League.

The match marks the return of domestic action after the two-week international break - here’s everything you need to know ahead of the game.

WHERE WILL THE GAME TAKE PLACE?

Newcastle are back on the road this weekend, and are heading to south London to take on Fulham at Craven Cottage.

After a run of six successive defeats at the Cottage, the Magpies have won their last two games at Fulham’s home ground. If they win on Saturday, it will be the first time in their history they have won three successive away games against Fulham.

WHAT TIME IS KICK-OFF?

It’s a traditional Saturday afternoon, 3pm start.

ARE TICKETS STILL AVAILABLE?

No – Newcastle received 2,300 tickets for the away section of Craven Cottage, and they have all sold out.

IS THERE SPECIAL TRAVEL ADVICE FOR THE TRAVELLING FANS?

Yes. Because of a national rail strike on Saturday, there will be no trains to or from London running north of York.

A limited number of trains will run between London King’s Cross and York, in both directions, and there will also be a limited train service each way between Doncaster and Leeds.

On the London Underground, the Piccadilly line between Heathrow and Acton Town is closed on Saturday.

IS THE GAME BEING SHOWN ON TV OR STREAMED LIVE?

The game has not been selected for live TV coverage in the UK. The highlights will be shown on Match of the Day on BBC One on Saturday evening.

There is no domestic streaming available for the game either.

A number of overseas channels will be screening the game, including DAZN (Spain), Hotstar VIP (India), Optus Sport (Australia), Peacock Premium (US), Sky Sport NOW (New Zealand) and ViaPlay (Scandanavia).

The Northern Echo’s Chief Sports Writer, Scott Wilson, will be at Craven Cottage providing live coverage via a blog on The Northern Echo website as well as a post-match report, ratings, reaction and analysis.

WHAT IS NEWCASTLE’S LINE-UP LIKELY TO BE?

Callum Wilson is set to return to Newcastle’s starting side for the first time since August after coming through training unscathed during the international break. The striker has recovered from the hamstring injury he sustained in the 3-3 draw with Manchester City.

Bruno Guimaraes is also expected to start, despite having been withdrawn from Brazil’s international squad because of an ongoing thigh issue.

Allan Saint-Maximin is more of a doubt, although the Frenchman has stepped up his recovery from a hamstring injury and could be on the substitutes’ bench on Saturday.

Alexander Isak (thigh) and Chris Wood (ribs) are major doubts after suffering injury issues while on international duty, while Karl Darlow, Emil Krafth and Jonjo Shelvey remain long-term absentees.

Newcastle (probable, 4-3-3): Pope; Trippier, Schar, Burn, Targett; Willock, Guimaraes, Joelinton; Almiron, Wilson, Saint-Maximin.

HOW ARE FULHAM SHAPING UP?

Former Newcastle United striker Aleksandar Mitrovic is Fulham’s main injury worry ahead of Saturday’s game.

Mitrovic scored Serbia’s second goal in their 2-0 win over Norway on Tuesday, capping a fine international break that also saw him claim a hat-trick against Sweden.

However, pictures that emerged on social media in the aftermath of the Norway game saw him walking with his ankle heavily strapped. Having suffered an ankle knock in Oslo, he will be assessed by Fulham’s medical staff in the build-up to Saturday game.

Harry Wilson (knee) remains unavailable, while Joao Palinha is suspended at the weekend after picking up his fifth booking of the season in Fulham’s 3-2 win at Nottingham Forest prior to the international break.

Fulham (probable, 4-5-1): Leno; Tete, Adarabioyo, Diop, Ream; Willian, Reed, Pereira, Cairney, Decodova-Reid; Mitrovic.
