Fulham’s hunt for automatic promotion is well and truly on and Tuesday night’s home clash with Reading could see them take another major step towards the Premier League.

Slavisa Jokanovic’s side will still need a helping hand from their Championship rivals but that could come tonight when second-placed Cardiff travel to Aston Villa. Anything less than a win for the Welsh side and Fulham move into the top-two with a win against a Reading side battling against the drop.

Fulham will have no sympathy for struggling Reading, who eliminated them from last season’s play-offs at the semi-final stage, as they hunt a victory that would extend their unbeaten Championship run to 20 games.

The Cottagers may have to claim a win without Floyd Ayite, who suffered a hamstring injury in Saturday’s 1-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday. That aside, Jokanovic has a fully fit squad whilst Reading boss Paul Clement could see Tyler Blackett (illness) join Paul McShane and Tommy Elphick (knee) on the sidelines.
