On-loan Bournemouth midfielder Jack Wilshere has taken to Twitter after breaking his leg against Tottenham last weekend.

Wilshere had enjoyed a run of first-team football this season after joining Bournemouth on a season-long-loan from Arsenal in August.

Wilshere had also managed to avoid injury all season, something that he hadn't been able to do since the 2010/11 season.

However, he was substituted in the second-half of the Cherries 4-0 defeat to Spurs after a clash with Harry Kane.

The initial X-ray showed there was no break, although, according to The Mirror (via the Sport Bible), a second scan displayed a crack in his left fibula, ending his season and cutting short his loan spell with Bournemouth.

Despite his latest injury setback, Wilshere has tweeted an inspirational message on Twitter, making it clear he will return stronger from the leg break.

The message, as seen below, was posted alongside the caption, "I know what it takes, and I will do whatever it takes."

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has confirmed that Wilshere will undergo his rehab at the Emirates this summer, yet his future beyond the end of the season is still uncertain.
