The second-year NFL pro has missed the last six weeks due to the knee injury he picked up in the first pre-season game.

Shortly after sustaining the injury Wilson underwent surgery to fix the problematic meniscus, which put him on track to potentially return for Week 1. However, the Jets have been conservative in their approach, giving the quarterback duties to veteran Joe Flacco to allow Wilson ample recovery time.

"One hundred percent. I'm ready to go," Wilson said on Wednesday, as quoted by the official NFL website.

"Of course, the biggest thing is you still haven't played ball in a bit. You've been trying to replicate it as much as possible, so I'm just gonna have fun with this process and get back in and give it my best." The Jets are 1-2 after their opening three games. Flacco led the New York team to a comeback victory over the Cleveland Browns in Week 2. With only a rookie season under his belt Wilson is still a work-in-progress, but the Jets see a lot of potential in the 23-year-old and will be hoping he can stay fit and find some rhythm once he's back playing regular football.
