Arsenal defender Gabriel Magalhaes has mocked Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang on Twitter after the Gunners beat Chelsea 1-0 on Sunday.
The Gunners grabbed a deserved victory in the second half when a Bukayo Saka corner went through a number of Blues players for Gabriel to score an easy tap in.
Now at Chelsea, Aubameyang was playing against Arsenal for the first time since he left last winter for Barcelona on a free transfer.
The Gabon international made very little impression on a game in which Chelsea had just five shots with one of those hitting the target.
In a strange pre-match advert for BT Sport, Aubameyang seemed to taunt his former employers, he said: “Arsenal, nothing personal, I’m back, I’m blue, I’m ready”.
That came after Aubameyang had recently criticised Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta, who stripped the striker of the Gunners captaincy and made him train by himself after a number of disciplinary issues.
“To manage big characters or big players, he [Arteta] can’t deal with it,” Aubameyang said. “He [Arteta] needs some young players, they don’t say anything, they listen.”
And following Arsenal’s win at Stamford Bridge, goalscorer Gabriel couldn’t help but have a little dig at Aubameyang on Twitter, he wrote: “NOTHING PERSONAL..LONDON IS RED.”
Granit Xhaka was also buzzing after the win over Chelsea with the Arsenal midfielder swearing on live television.
Speaking to BT Sport reporter Des Kelly, Xhaka said: “You the see atmosphere, it’s f**king unbelievable”.
The Switzerland international, who was clearly delighted with the win, apologised to the viewers before continuing the interview.
Xhaka continued: “You can see the atmosphere is unbelievable, I mean from the start until the end I think we deserved to win today, we were the much much much better team today.
“We are so happy that everything is going well at the moment. We are keeping everything the coach is telling us.
“Listen, after the season nobody ask you how you win in November or December or January. We are trying to get a lot of points as possible and after let’s see where we head.
“The derby, these two teams have big history even if they play against each other this is football, sometimes you need stuff like that.”
On Manchester City scoring a late winner against Fulham on Saturday, Xhaka added: “Lucky for them but if you play over 60 minutes with one less (player) you deserve to win.”
