Gabriel Magalhaes has chosen to double down on his bold Arsenal stance after scoring for the second time in a few days. The Brazil international was one of five scorers in the Champions League win against Sporting CP in midweek and he repeated that feat against West Ham on Saturday.

Ahead of the clash at London Stadium, Gabriel was a trending topic after he left the European victory with an injury. His decision to pull out Viktor Gyokeres' trademark celebration also kept him in the headlines with many arguing over whether it was right to do that.

Among those that weren't keen was Micah Richards but Alan Shearer did not share the same view. "Gabriel has been excellent," Richards said. "I don't quite agree with his Gyokeres celebration. We don't need to go there, mocking Gyokeres. He did the celebration when he scored the goal. I'm just like, you don't need to do that. Be the bigger person."

Shearer then replied: "Oh, what a load of s***. Let him do it if he wants to," to which Richards jokingly responded: "You're like Wrighty [Arsenal legend Ian Wright], Wrighty's got into your head too much, telling you, 'f*** off Al, let him do what he wants."

"Alan, I'm all for fun, you know me. But these moments here always come back to bite you. I love his confidence. I love the fact that he can bring it. But why's a defender even thinking about doing a Gyokeres celebration? I know he's good at set-pieces, but come on! Gabriel, I love you, but you shouldn't be doing that."

Gyokeres also gave his thoughts on the celebration with it appearing as though he aimed a subtle jibe at Gabriel. "He's welcome to steal it if he can't create his own celebration," he told ViaPlay. "I didn't know he did that, but it's fun that he likes my celebration."

While Gabriel has not said anything on the controversy, it is clear exactly what he thinks as he pulled it out again after scoring for Arsenal against West Ham. Having been one of five to score on Tuesday evening, he was again among the names to find the back of the net with the Gunners scoring five in the first half.
