Gerald Taylor Hearts injury blow as defender on crutches and serious doubt for upcoming fixtures
Gerald Taylor has been spotted on crutches and is a major doubt for Hearts' upcoming matches.
Following Steven Naismith's sacking, B team boss Liam Fox assumes control for Ross County at home this Saturday and then Dinamo Minsk in Europe midweek, followed up by a trip to Aberdeen on the Sunday. He is likely to be without the Costa Rica international right-back for at least some of that due to an injury picked up against St Mirren.
Taylor landed awkwardly during the first-half and didn't come back out after the break, replaced by fellow defender Daniel Oyegoke. He has since been receiving treatment, reports the Edinburgh Evening News, and has been on crutches to keep the weight off his leg.

Meanwhile, Calem Nieuwenhof is getting closer to a return after almost seven months out. The midfielder picked up a hamstring problem in March and has had a few setbacks in his recovery.
He is now stepping up his involvement in training and Hearts hope he will soon be able to take on contact sessions.
