Gerald Taylor Hearts season in injury jeopardy as Liam Fox confirms 'real issue'
Gerald Taylor's season is in jeopardy after learning of suspected anterior cruciate ligament damage.
The defender was spotted on crutches at Riccarton earlier this week with fans nervous that their right-back may be out for a lengthy period of time. Now interim boss Liam Fox has confirmed that the Costa Rican has a "real issue" with his knee and could miss the remainder of the campaign depending on coming scans and medical work.
Taylor has had a decent time at Tynecastle so far with his debut against Rangers earning him praise before one or two lesser performances had punters debating his input thus far.

But Fox admits he'll be a big loss despite not knowing the exact timescale to expect him sidelined. “It’s disappointing news, he’s got a real issue with his knee,” said interim manager Liam Fox on Friday. “It’s a blow. We don’t have the exact timescale but it will be a long period of time.”
Asked if it could be his ACL, Fox added: "Potentially. Don’t quote me on that, we’re just waiting on confirmation. He’ll get all the support he needs."
