Gerard Butler has revealed he suffered a brutal injury while filming a stunt on the set of his new film.
The Paisley actor stars in the new thriller Plane, in which his character, a pilot, saves passengers from a lightning strike with a risky landing, only to find that surviving the landing was just the beginning.
And while filming one of the thrilling scenes on the aircraft before the emergency landing, the 53-year-old admitted that he performed a stunt wrong and split his head open.
Speaking with The Metro, he said: "I had to do this silly stunt, basically I'm walking along the plane and the plane's shaking.
"There's one bit I'm supposed to hit, I've just got to walk along and the plane's shaking and then I have to pretend to be thrown.
"It's like 'make your head hit up there on the overhead compartments'.
"The first one I did, I didn't really do it right. The second time I walk along and fly up - basically head butt the thing, missed the soft part and split my head open.
"That was a tough stunt, sometimes the easiest-looking stunts are actually the most difficult and they're just not fun."
