Giorgi Mamardashvili show's how wild he is by jumping in with fans after Georgia game
Giorgi Mamardashvili looks as though he has all the makings of a real fan favorite when he arrives at Liverpool next summer.
The Valencia goalkeeper will complete his move to Anfield in 2025 after the two clubs agreed to a transfer that could reach $39m (£29m/€35m). Before then, Liverpool fans will have the chance to watch him from afar for club and country.
Mamardashvili was in action on Saturday night as Georgia began their Nations League campaign with a resounding 4-1 win over the Czech Republic. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia was among the scorers as Euro 2024’s surprise package continued to impress.

And Mamardashvili certainly made the most of the celebrations after the game, and even dived into the crowd to join in with supporters. The 23-year-old was seen climbing up the stands to get involved with the Georgia fans as his teammates remained on the pitch.
A video shared on social media showed the goalkeeper holding up a scarf with a fan as the supporters and players began a thunder clap to celebrate their victory, while Mamardashvili was also seen using a megaphone while singing with his country’s fans.
Liverpool fans will get another chance to see Mamardashvili in action on Tuesday as Georgia travel to Albania, looking to solidify their spot at the top of their Nations League group.
Mamardashvili hasn’t yet spoken directly about Liverpool ahead of his move next year, although he has changed his bio on Instagram to reflect the transfer, listing the Reds at the top of a list that also includes his national team and Valencia.
Addressing the move last month, Mamardashvili wrote on social media: "I can't start talking about Valencia and this club without expressing my gratitude. Thank you for the continuous support and love I have felt at every stage since the first day of my arrival at the club for three years.
"Words are not enough to thank Valencia CF, this great football family and city has given me. Valencia didn't just change my football career; it changed my life. I am forever grateful for the impact this club has had on me."
Liverpool.com says: You’ve got to love a mad goalkeeper. It looks as though Liverpool will be getting a player who will immerse himself fully with the fans when he arrives at Anfield next year, and supporters will love that, especially with Jurgen Klopp now gone.
