The Italy forward departed Juventus for Parma in a loan deal two years ago before the move was made permanent.
Juventus have paid 11 million Euros to bring Giovinco back to the Turin club.
“I first started to believe that I could be recalled in the spring and then the summer," said Giovinco.
“My hope increased after reports of talks to sign me were becoming more frequent and after hearing the words of boss Antonio Conte. There was something concrete in the air.
“I’m back home – in all senses. Turin is my city, I’m back with my family and especially my club. To play in your own city with one of the most important clubs in the world is something special.
“I’ve played with consistency over the last two seasons. I have learned a lot and I was allowed to grow. Juventus will find me different, more expert, solid and with a lot of desire to continue improving.”
