Gogglebox stars announce baby names in finale episode
Gogglebox stars Pete Sandiford and Ellie Warner both revealed names for their newborn babies in the series finale.
Pete revealed during Friday’s (June 2) episode that he and his wife Paige had seen their family grow in number, with the reality star holding the baby as he appeared in the show alongside sister Sophie.
As he held his daughter, Pete called to Sophie, saying: “Hey Sophie, have I told you her name? We think we're going to call her Eva Sylvie Sandiford.” Pete and Paige, who married in 2021, previously welcomed a son, Jimmy, in November of the same year.

Pete wasn’t the only cast member to introduce a newborn in tonight’s episode, with Ellie holding her first child at the beginning of the episode.
Following the airing of the episode, Ellie took to Instagram to post a photo of her newborn, along with a reveal of his name. “Sweet baby Ezra 💛 he has made our lives complete 🥰 we love you so much son,” she wrote.
Elsewhere in the episode, which served as the finale for the 28th series, the cast watched the auditions from Britain’s Got Talent, quiz show Sitting on a Fortune and a classic Top of the Pops episode.

With the current series now concluding, it remains to be seen who will return to the screen later this year, but the Malone family offered advice to any prospective candidates.
“Just be yourself, because the public are very good at picking out people that are natural and what have you,” said Julie, before explaining how lockdown gave the show added poignancy.
“The amount of people that we had coming up to us, saying that we really helped them through lockdown [while] they were in the flat on their own,” she said. “And people whose grandparents are living on their own and they really love it. Yeah, it's quite humbling.”
Gogglebox airs and streams on Friday nights at 9pm on Channel 4.
