If Jose Mourinho thought a comeback victory before the international break would bring a detente to the situation at Manchester United, he was wrong.

There have been more Paul Pogba stories, more Anthony Martial stories and now, their big money signing from last January wants out.

As well as talk about Alexis Sanchez’s future at Old Trafford, the gossip column includes news on a surprise Arsenal transfer target.

It is also the second day in a row that a Chelsea striker has been linked with an exit – a little worrying when you consider they actually only have two strikers currently.

Ahead of the return of the Premier League, we bring you all the latest rumours from the world of football.

Unhappy Alexis

Alexis Sanchez’s arrival at Manchester United featured the Chilean playing a piano in the middle of the Old Trafford pitch, he is more likely to be seen playing a violin on the bench these days.

The 29-year-old’s move was seen as a coup by many, given Manchester City’s interest, but it has turned sour very quickly.

Sanchez has not started in four of United’s Premier League games and The Mail report that his agent is touting his client’s services to other clubs already.

Despite netting a last-minute winner in the victory over Newcastle 13 days ago, Sanchez has been less than impressive and Jose Mourinho has reportedly not been impressed.

The Mail say that his form may be down to his split from long-term girlfriend Mayte Rodrigruez too.

Emery’s reunion

Alberto Moreno is not a name that inspires great confidence among Liverpool fans, but he might not be theirs to worry about for much longer.

The Spaniard’s deal at Anfield runs out this summer and Andy Robertson’s emergence over the past 12 months means he is unsure about signing a new deal, because he wants to play regularly.

Despite his often erratic performances since arriving on Merseyside in 2014, Moreno may yet stay in the Premier League.

The best form of Moreno’s career came during the 2013/2014 season, when they won the Europa League with Unai Emery at the helm.

He has been a keen admirer ever since and is looking to strengthen their options at left-back, which he feels Moreno would do and the bonus is that he’d be a free.

Time is up, Alvaro

Alvaro Morata netted twice before the break…but that isn’t enough

Alvaro Morata might not be particularly happy at Chelsea, he admitted as much this week, but he could rightly feel aggrieved if The Sun’s story this morning is true.

Despite ending his goal drought and scoring in each of Chelsea’s final two games before the international break, they report that the Blues have finally lost patience with Morata and will look to offload him in summer and sign a better replacement.

Apparently Chelsea are resigned to the fact that Morata is not comfortable in west London and, as a result, will not be able to produce his best form.

With only Olivier Giroud as options upfront, Chelsea know they need a world class striker to take their side to the next level and that is the aim in January.

There are no names mentioned and January is traditionally a tough month to buy, but enough is enough for Chelsea.
