Gossip: 'Sanchez wants out at Man Utd', Bayern want Chelsea youngster

Callum Hudson-Odoi and Alexis Sanchez could soon be on the move.
Callum Hudson-Odoi and Alexis Sanchez could soon be on the move.

Alexis Sanchez wants out at Manchester United after being dropped for the Champions League game against Young Boys.

Jose Mourinho made it clear that Sanchez was fit enough to be included in the squad for Tuesday night’s game, meaning that the United boss had deliberately kept him out of the team after a year of poor form for the club.

The 29-year-old is now determined to leave the club, and has his sights set on a move to Paris Saint-Germain, the French champions.

The Mirror reports that Sanchez is one of several players out of form at Old Trafford, but there was some surprise over his lack of involvement after he was part of the impressive win at Juventus in United’s last Champions League match, and he came off the bench as United chased a goal in their stalemate against Crystal Palace at the weekend.

The paper also claims that there is an expectation in the dressing room that the Portuguese manager will be let go by the club at the end of the season.

Bayern target Chelsea youngster

The Premier League could be losing another youngster to the Bundesliga, but this time it is not Borussia Dortmund waiting in the wings.

Callum Hudson-Odoi is one of Chelsea’s brightest talents, and has 18 months to run on his current contract. The 18 year old has failed to break into the first team at Stamford Bridge this season and has seen peers like Reiss Nelson and Jadon Sancho succeed in Germany.

Barcelona are also interested, as are Juventus, but Bayern Munich are regarded as favourites for the player by the Sun. Chelsea are desperate not to let a homegrown player as talented as Hudson-Odoi leave and would demand a huge fee.

Bayern may be prepared to splash out on the youngster as they see him as a possible long-term successor to wingers Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben.

Marco Silva chases Abdoulaye Doucoure

Marco Silva is looking to cement his frosty relationship with Watford by moving for their star midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure.

Silva left Watford under a cloud after openly courting the job at Everton when he was manager at Watford, and the team’s form fell apart when he was unsuccessful in getting a move away.

Now he wants to bring in Doucoure from Vicarage Road, following the signing of Richarlison in the summer for £40 million. A similarly hefty offer would be required if Everton are to complete the transfer of the 25 year old. The Mirror think Everton will not stop there, as they look to make the loan from Barcelona for Andre Gomes permanent.

Newcastle face competition for Miguel Almiron

Newcastle are preparing to battle to bring MLS star Miguel Almiron to the Premier League. The 24-year-old Atlanta midfielder is rated at £25 million, and is wanted by other English teams including Arsenal, West Ham and Tottenham.

Almiron has scored 12 times and assisted 14 goals in 35 appearances this season, and Newcastle will look to steal a march on their rivals by opening talks with Atlanta over the player, though the transfer fee may be too high for owner Mike Ashley, says the Mail.
