Going, going, Giroud

Olivier Giroud’s whistle-stop tour of the capital could continue in January.

The handsome Frenchman swapped Arsenal for Chelsea at the start of 2018 and, according to The Mirror, is the subject of interest from West Ham ahead of the mid-season window.

Giroud has become key cog in Maurizio Sarri’s Chelsea machine, but a move away from Stamford Bridge is not out of the question.

His deal runs out in the summer and every indication is that the Blues want to bring in a top-quality striker as soon as possible.

That means that West Ham are keen to reignite their interest in the 32-year-old, especially with injury-prone Andy Carroll’s contract running out in the summer.

Dutch delight

International break bingo has struck and a young star has suddenly appeared on the radar of England’s biggest clubs.

Dutch starlet Steven Bergwijn was impressive in the Oranje’s unlikely 3-0 victory over Germany and United and Liverpool have been scouting the 20-year-old already this season.

Steven Bergwijn could outgrow PSV with his performances this season

De Telegraaf say that Bergwijn has been watched during PSV Eindhoven’s Champions League game, by clubs including the north west giants.

Bergwijn made his international debut after a string of eye-catching displays for his club side, during which he has netted four times in ten games.

Torino and Bordeaux had bids rejected in the summer, now Bergwijn looks to have gone up in the world.

The great return

Neymar’s move to PSG has so far not gone to plan and talk of a return to Spain with Real Madrid has cropped up again and again.

According to Mundo Deportivo, a move back to Barcelona is what he really wants and the Catalan giants are coming around to the idea.

Neymar’s departure from the Nou Camp did not go down well and there was a perception that he’d never pull on the famous shirt again as a result.

But Barcelona have not hit their straps yet this season and now Neymar might get his wish.
